Doggone Bestsellers

Dogs are doing quite well in print. Marley & Me by John Grogan is #1 on the Hardcover Non-fiction list of bestsellers at Books-a-Million, followed by Cesar's Way by Cesar Millan (aka The Dog Whisperer) at #2. Marley as also #2 on the The New York Times Bestsellers for Hardcover Non-Fiction, while Cesar is #1 on Hardcover Advice list.

As a hardcore dog-lover, I have Marley & Me
on my planned reading list. Anyone want to share opinions on this one?

Comments:
I love dogs myself. I've never really been an avid reader of non fiction, but I might check this one out. It looks interesting. We have a Books a Million here, I believe, at Grapevine Mills Mall. Any chance of a discount? :-)

Well, actually, yes! You can get a discount card that saves you 10 percent on everything on the store -- and that's on top of the regular bestseller discount. Ask 'em at the store or online. That's actually more than the regular employee discount, so you can get the book for the same price as me!

I'll check em out. It is already a discount bookstore on top of that if I am correct. I'll be going there probably in two weeks. Grapevine Mills is required when my family visits. :-)

Kind of stinks in a way to work for a company that lets others get a better discount though, doesn't it? Most are like that. I get a better discount at Hertz than my brother and mom get. I think the only reason that we get flight benefits at my job is because they took everything else away from us. :-)

Well, I'm assured of at least getting as good a deal as any customer, and I don't have to buy the discount card.

BAM is not a discount bookstore in sense that you mean, but the card gives you 10 percent off everything (and that means EVERYTHING, including magazines, bargain books, cafe items, online purchases, and whatever you buy when you get the card; I think the only you can't apply the card to is the card itself), and there is an additional discount for bestsellers and many other featured books, on top of the card discount. But our focus is on customer service.

My problem is going to be making sure I don't spend my whole paycheck on reading material!
