Red Paperclip = Movie Role (So Far)

Kyle, the red paperclip guy, is worked his way up to a movie role -- so if you want to be in a movie and have something to offer Kyle, let him know.

For the uninitiated, Kyle is trying to trade a red paperclip for a house, one trade at a time. Along the way, a lot of other people are picking things up, too -- a generator, a day with Alice Cooper, a snow globe, and...well, just check out Kyle's blog.

Comments:
They say there's one born every second....Proof positive, I suppose. :-)

And I DO go to BAM and drink Joe Muggs coffee, too. I like books and coffee, so almost any combination is fine with me. :-)

I don't think these folks are suckers. Somewhere in Kyle's blog he talks about "relative value," how the same thing can have different value to different people in different situations. Also, some of these people are offering things at a loss because they want to be part of something unusual, or they may just want publicity -- or they might get some side benefits.

For example, Corbin Bernsen offered the movie role in exchange for a snow globe, seemingly a bad, bad trade. But he's also probably going to get a lot of snow globes from fans (both his and Kyle's), and as an excellent bonus, there will be money raised for charity.

Hmmm....I suppose so, one man's trash is another man's treasure, and all that. I have a brother-in-law who's always dealing and trading. Not my thing, but it takes all kinds. :-)
